Supply List for Machine Applique
Workshop

â—‹ Sewing Machine in good working order
(You must know how to thread your machine, wind a bobbin, and choose
stitches on your machine. If you think you may have any questions regarding your machine, please make sure your manual is nearby.)
â—‹ Open toed applique foot (See photo)
â—‹ Bobbins
â—‹ Thread in colors to match your fabrics
â—‹ Applique Press Sheet (This is a MUST. It will make your applique process so much easier. There is a difference in an applique press sheet and a pressing sheet. If you are unsure, please email me for clarification.)
â—‹ Pen or pencil
â—‹ Scissors for paper and fabric
â—‹ Heat ‘n Bond LITE fusible web - 2 yards
You may be tempted to use another type of fusible web that you already have on hand. Please use Heat ’n Bond LITE for this workshop. I will explain the differences in fusibles during the class. If you prefer to
use something else after the workshop that is fine. But please, humor me, I don’t ask for much!
â—‹ Extension tray for your machine (if you have one)
â—‹ White computer paper for stabilizer (approximately 5-6 sheets)
â—‹ Two fabrics, one light, one dark, 10" x 7"
color doesn’t matter. To practice stitches.
â—‹ A pattern of your choice from Hissyfitz Designs.
You have the option to use any Hissyfitz Designs pattern purchased from my
website or from your local shop. If you plan to make a full quilt or wallhanging, please refer to fabric yardage on the pattern you choose. If you are only going to do one block of the pattern, you can get by with a
smaller amount of yardage.
The photo is of an open toed applique foot.
The foot for your machine may not look exactly like this,
but should have clear visibility between the
two “toes” of the foot. If you do not have a foot similar to this,
it is TOTALLY worth investing in one before the class.
