2027 ABC Quilt Challenge

ABC Quilt Challenge
FPQG 2026-2027

 

For this challenge you will use your personal initials. You need 3 letters and if you have no middle initial, you may choose any letter you would like. You can also use a maiden name as a middle name if you so choose, just note this in your challenge description.
 

For example, if your name is Tami Jane Cotton 

1. Your first initial (your name) is used to choose the dominant or focus color of the quilt. For this example: If you name is Tami, your focus color of the quilt would begin with the letter T, and the color could be something like Turquoise, Teal, or Tan.

2. Your middle initial will decide the main block to use. For this example: If your middle name is Jane, your main block would begin with the letter J, and the block could be something like Jacob’s Ladder.
 

3. Your last initial will decide the main quilting design, (by hand or machine). For this example: If your last name is Cotton, your main quilting design would begin with the letter C, and could be something like Circles or Curves.

4. Your quilt must be at least 30”x30” but no larger than 82”x92”.
 

5. Your ABC Challenge Quilt is due - finished, quilted, and bound - by the March FPQG 2027 meeting.
